PALIMPSEST The Giant Mountains Museum in Jelenia Góra 2012

The creative matter for artists associated with the Silesium project is the cultural heritage of the Lower Silesia region, which sometimes becomes too blurred and mysterious and provocative. The presentation of another artistic project of Silesium, which is hidden under the term Palimpsest, is an attempt to decipher places and their secrets. The exhibition is a form of transposition of the meaning of palimpsest - assuming the broadly understood understanding of this term - in the properties and phenomena existing in the area of Lower Silesia. They appear in blurred or emerging forms of displacement, semantic and ideological layers - universal, timeless, characteristic of spaces with a variable curve of historical events. The presented objects engage in mutual dialogue by becoming part of a "common" space. The exhibition took place at the Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Góra in 2012.
